Industry Circular 23 of 2025: Extension of the Date to File Registers and Beneficial Ownership Information
EXTENSION OF THE DATE TO FILE
REGISTER OF GENERAL PARTNERS, REGISTER OF LIMITED PARTNERS,
AND BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP INFORMATION
By virtue of a Notice (the Notice) related to the requirement of existing limited partnerships under paragraph 18(1) of Part III of the Schedule to the Limited Partnership Act, revised edition 2020 (the Act) to file register of general partners, register of limited partners, and beneficial ownership information in compliance with sections 53A and 53B of the Act (together, the Requirements), published on Tuesday, 3 June 2025 on the BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) website; The Registrar having acted pursuant to the discretion given in paragraph 18(2) of Part III of the Schedule of the Act, to extend the period for filing, the Commission informs industry stakeholders and the public of the following:
The Registrar, acting pursuant to paragraph 18(2) of Part VIII of the Schedule to the Act, advises that the filing period ending on 1st July 2025 (within which a limited partnership is required to comply with the Requirements) is extended for a period of 6 months, ending on 1st January 2026. |
