Tortola, British Virgin Islands- 30 April 2025 -The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (the FSC) considers it necessary to issue this Public Statement in order to protect the customers, creditors or persons who may have been solicited to visit or conduct business via the website address EDP REGULATION (https://www.remorsprompt.com/).
The details are:
It has come to the notice of the FSC that a website is being operated via the website URL: https://www.remorsprompt.com/ (hereinafter referred to as the ‘fraudulent website’) which is falsely purporting to be the Regulatory Body of the British Virgin Islands and falsely claiming to be operating in the Territory of the Virgin Islands. The fraudulent website appears to have materially cloned (and displays) details and information from the FSC’s website – www.bvifsc.vg.
The FSC hereby informs the public that the FSC has no affiliation with and is not connected to the fraudulent website, https://www.remorsprompt.com/. Further, the fraudulent website and its operators are not and have never been authorised by the FSC to use the information published on the fraudulent website.
Members of the public are advised to avoid visiting or conducting business through the fraudulent website https://www.remorsprompt.com/ or making any contact through the email address [email protected].
The FSC is diligently working with the relevant authorities to have the fraudulent website decommissioned.
The FSC has issued this Public Statement pursuant to Section 37A of the Financial Services Commission Act, 2001.
