2026 FSC MEET THE REGULATOR FORUMS OFF TO A STRONG START

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 19 February 2026 – The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) is pleased to announce that its sector-wide strategic collaboration under the capstone Meet the Regulator conference banner is off to a strong and encouraging start.  

On Tuesday, 17th February 2026, over 200 stakeholders from the banking, trust, insurance, fiduciary, financing business, VASPs and other local financial sectors gathered at the Eileene L Parsons Auditorium for face-to-face meetings with Commission executives.  With Managing Director and CEO Mr Kenneth Baker’s remarks setting the tone for the subsequent presentations, matters related to beneficial ownership implementation updates, economic substance filings, and 2026 regulatory and legislative reforms drew notably high interest and engagement from the Forum audience. 
 
As the Forum series continues in Panama, London, and Hong Kong, Mr Baker and the rest of the delegation look forward to equally rich discussions and the opportunity to build deeper relationships and capture actionable ideas that will help improve the Commission’s task of regulating and supervising BVI financial services.
