BVI FSC TO CONVENE MEET THE REGULATOR FORUMS 
ON ACCESS TO BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP INFORMATION

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) today announced that it will, in conjunction with BVI Government, host a series of Meet the Regulator (MTR) Forums in the summer, June and July 2025.  At the Forums, the Government and FSC Officials will discuss the BVI's policy on rights of access to beneficial ownership information, and how the regime will be implemented. 
 
The planned MTR Forums will entail face-to-face meetings with service providers and stakeholders in the British Virgin Islands, the Asia Pacific Region, the United Kingdom, and, for the first time, Latin America.  
 
Managing Director and CEO Mr Kenneth Baker stated, “As with our last round of MTRs, which provided valuable insight into the implementation of the beneficial ownership regime, this series marks another critical engagement with our financial services stakeholders – this time focusing on access to beneficial ownership information. Our partners in Government, the Ministry of Financial Services, Economic Development and Digital Transformation, will present the outcomes of the recent consultation on rights of access to beneficial ownership information along with the resulting policy and framework.  The Commission will provide stakeholders with insights into the legal, technical and operational components of the regime, and how these will support efficient and effective implementation."  
 
Industry practitioners are encouraged to register early when the portals open.  As usual, provisions will also be made for stakeholders to submit questions in advance of each MTR.
