BVI FSC Business Continuity Update: Operations

The BVI Financial Services Commission (the “Commission”) has revised its operations following the most recent curfew orders issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands. This update provides details on the Commission’s operations, business hours, and availability of services for the week beginning 11 May 2020. 

BVI Offices
The Commission will provide in-person services to the public by appointment only. In-office processing of transactions by all divisions and certificate collection continues daily (Monday through Friday).  Our payment drop-off process is enclosed.

The hours of operation for in-person services will be extended from Wednesday, 13 May 2020.  Further details are included below. 

HK Office
Our Asia Representative Office in Hong Kong is closed to the public. In-Office processing of transactions continues daily from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

Registered Agents should note the following:

Certificate Collection Appointments
The collection of certificates will continue by appointment only as follows: 

Monday and Tuesday (11 and 12 May 2020) 

9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. 

Beginning Wednesday 13 May 2020

9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until further notice. 

To verify your appointment, please contact us on 284-347-4120 on Monday, 11 May 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

Please follow our Contactless Certificate Collection Guidelines when collecting certificates from the Registry of Corporate Affairs.

Dropping Off Certificates for the Registry 
The Registry will not accept any documents at the Registry of Corporate Affairs building.  

Agents who are returning certificates and other documents to the Registry, please:

  • Email Client Services with a detailed explanation for the return, 
  • Acquire a ticket number for your package,
  • Use the temporary drop-box at the Commission's Administration Building (18 Pasea Estate Road),
  • Documents to be returned should be in a sealed envelope and identified by the ticket number provided by Client Services. 

 

Payments to the Commission
Acceptance of cheque payments for deposit accounts, regulatory fees, and any other payments due to the Commission, will continue only via the temporary drop-box facility at the Commission's Administration building (18 Pasea Estate Road). Cheques dropped off to replenish deposit accounts before 11:30 a.m. will be processed on the same day. 

Beginning Wednesday 13 May 2020, cheque payments will be accepted until 3:30 p.m. and will be processed on the same day.
