Industry Circular 22 of 2025: Extension of Filing Date
EXTENSION OF THE DATE TO FILE
REGISTER OF MEMBERS, INFORMATION ON DIRECTOR SERVICES PROVIDED, AND BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP INFORMATION
By virtue of a Notice (the Notice) related to the requirement of existing companies under paragraph 60I(1) of Part VIIB of Schedule 2 of the BVI Business Companies Act, revised edition 2020 (the Act) to file register of members, information on director services provided, and beneficial ownership information in compliance with section 41, section 43A, section 96A and if applicable, sections 118 and 118A(1A) of the Act (together, the Requirements), published on Friday, 30th May 2025 on the BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) website; The Registrar having acted pursuant to the discretion given in paragraph 60I(2) of Part VIIB of Schedule 2 of the Act, to extend the period for filing, the Commission informs industry stakeholders and the public of the following:
| The Registrar, acting pursuant to paragraph 60I(2) of Part VIIB of Schedule 2 of the Act, advises that the filing period ending on 1st July 2025 (within which an existing company is required to comply with the Requirements) is extended for a period of 6 months, ending on 1st January 2026. |
