BVI FSC TO HOST ‘MEET THE REGULATOR’ FORUM ON 21 March 2024

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 12 March 2024 - Financial services industry practitioners and other stakeholders are invited to join the BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) for a ‘Meet the Regulator Forum’ (MTR) on Thursday, 21 March 2024 at the Eileene L Parsons Auditorium, H Lavity Stoutt Community College, Paraquita Bay, Tortola.

The Virgin Islands’ Fourth Round Mutual Evaluation Report findings that relate directly to the Commission and the financial services industry, the Commission’s Action Plan for implementing the relevant recommended actions, and the required cooperation of the financial services industry will form significant parts of the discussion.

Managing Director and CEO – Mr Kenneth Baker noted that “keeping industry stakeholders both involved and informed is important as the Commission takes steps to strengthen its regulatory framework. This MTR offers the opportunity for the Commission to not only hear concerns directly from our industry partners but also to take suggestions, thus reinforcing the importance of collaboration and compliance".

The registration portal for MTR attendance is expected to open on Wednesday, 13 March, during which time advance questions should be articulated.
