ADVISORY WARNING

Base2Trade

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 23 January 2017 – The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (“FSC”) has been made aware that an entity calling itself Base2Tradethat previously operated at www.base2trade.com and presented itself as being incorporated and registered in the Territory.

As a result of the FSC’s enquiries, it would appear that this entity uses the aforementioned company and trading names, and offered its products and services through its website located at www.base2trade.com and falsely claimed to be headquartered in the Territory. 

The FSC can confirm that Base2Trade has never been registered or incorporated as a Business Company in the British Virgin Islands.  Base2Trade has also never been licensed by the FSC to carry on financial services business in or from within the Territory. 

Members of the public are therefore advised to exercise extreme caution if solicited by or conducting business with Base2Trade.  

The public is invited to provide the FSC with any relevant information on this, or any other questionable entities that are purportedly operating in or from within the Territory.

The FSC is issuing this Advisory Warning under Section 4(1)(l) of the Financial Services Commission Act, 2001.
